Mistress Averil duBois d'Avignon was a 14th Century Frenchwoman.  Five years ago she disappeared and her identity was stolen by a Persian lady from Tabriz.  Fortunately this Persian lady is also a calligrapher/illuminator, so no one has seemed to mind- least of all her sister, Naquiba Bahiyyah, who is also from Northern Persia.  One can only hope that she will reveal her Persian name one day soon.
